Herbal Chart

Most of our herbs and teas are Certified Organic and Kosher, however, some are wild harvested from the forest and wild meadows that surround us. Every one is pure and handled with care. Plus, they are full of vitamins and minerals that can improve and enhance the quality of your life.

Blending Tips:

Consider the amount of time needed to steep a a dried herb when you are creating blends. It's good to mix roots, berries, & hips as they are more dense and will need to steep for 10-30 minutes before straining to drink. Leaves and flowers are more delicate and will steep between 3-10 minutes. If they steep too long or are steeped more than once, the flavor often becomes bitter.

Cooking Tips:

The temperature of your water is very important. Roots, berries, & hips are more dense and will need boiling water poured over them and then left to steep. Leaves and flowers are more delicate and can get damaged from boiling water. It's best to first boil their water, then remove it from the heat and wait 1-2 minutes before pouring it over the leaves and flowers. (The exception to this is Hibiscus flowers which are more easily combined with the roots, berries, and hips, as they are much harder.)

They are Fresh:

When you see one of them on sale, it's because we had a large harvest or we purchased a larger quantity from the farmer so we could pass the savings on to you. They are all fresh!
