How to Use Shimmer Hair Wash
- Flip the bottle upside down once before use. Because this formula is made from pure plants and contains no synthetic stabilizers, natural ingredients may settle, so the formula should be blended.
- Amount. Dispense 1–2 pumps into your palms.
- Apply to your scalp and massage gently for about 2 minutes. This simple practice helps awaken and stimulate the scalp. At Alywillow, we believe this gentle attention helps restore scalp vitality over time.
- Rinse thoroughly. Because SHIMMER contains no sulfates or synthetic foaming agents, it will not lather like conventional shampoos. This is normal. You will also not "feel" it on your hair in the same way. You still must rinse thoroughly.

Why We Don’t Use Emulsifiers, Artificial Fragrance, or Synthetic Ingredients
Alywillow products are intentionally made without synthetic chemicals, artificial fragrances, or emulsifiers. While these ingredients are commonly used in commercial cosmetics to create a uniform texture, strong scent, or longer shelf stability, they are not necessary for effective botanical care.
At Alywillow, we believe that pure plants already contain the nutrients, aromas, and protective qualities the skin and scalp can appreciate. By avoiding synthetic ingredients, we allow the natural character of the plants to remain intact.
Because we do not use synthetic emulsifiers, you may occasionally notice that natural oils or plant components separate slightly. This is completely normal for our products and simply means the product has not been chemically forced to stay blended. A gentle shake or mixing blends the ingredients again.
You may also notice that the scent, color, or texture can vary from batch to batch. Plants change from one harvest to the next depending on soil, sunlight, and season. These natural variations are expected and are one of the signs that your product is made from real botanical ingredients rather than laboratory fragrances or stabilizers.

Every ingredient is sourced directly from a plant. There are no synthetic ingredients. Water, aloe vera, potassium olivate (a derivative of organic olive oil), potassium cocoate (derived from organic coconut oil), vegetable glycerin, potassium citrate (sourced from citrus and vegetables), coconut oil, and essential oils of the same SHIMMER formula in our Shimmer Spritzer and Moisturizer. There are no synthetic fragrances, no synthetic colors, and no other artificial ingredients. The scent is only from the plants and you will smell mostly rosemary. There are no sulfates, no parabens, no phthalates, no paraffin, no gluten, no propylene glycol, no alcohol, no mineral oil, no DEA, and no DEET.
