Level 5: Texture, Use, and Storage
If your Level 5 (or Featheray) feels grainier than you prefer, this is completely natural. It can happen when there’s a shift in temperature or humidity—especially during seasonal changes.
It doesn't happen to any product made of synthetic ingredients, but it can definitely happen to truly natural products. Because this LEVEL 5 contains no water, stabilizers, or synthetic binders, it responds more like a natural fat or butter than a conventional cream.
Level 5 is our most concentrated moisturizer—rich, dense, and completely undiluted. Unlike conventional creams that rely on water, alcohol, synthetics, or fillers, this formula contains 100% moisturizing ingredients only.
Because of that concentration, a very small amount goes a long way. Take a little, warm it between your palms, and once it begins to melt and glide, apply anywhere on the body.
If you’d like to restore a smoother, creamier texture, you can gently re-blend it. Remove the lid and place the jar in an oven warmed to 100°F until fully melted. This low temperature helps preserve the nutrient integrity of the ingredients. Once melted, remove, stir vigorously, cover, and refrigerate for 2–3 days, or until fully set.
Working without fillers also means Level 5 naturally responds to the seasons. It may become firmer in colder months and softer in warmer weather. For best consistency, store between 45–80°F. Typical indoor home temperatures and humidity are ideal.
