Like many Alywillow products, I originally created the Shimmer line for myself, family, and friends. Like most people, I used to rely on hair products containing synthetic chemicals. But in my mid-40s, hair strands started falling out by the handful. At first, I thought it was seasonal shedding… but it didn’t stop. My hair thinned, became dry, and looked damaged no matter what I did.

I’ve never minded going gray—those silver strands began showing up when I was just 18 (and I’m 50 in the photo above). But I did want to keep my hair thick, soft, and strong. That’s when I turned to nature.

Creating and using the Shimmer products made a remarkable difference. Over time, my hair became healthier, shinier, and stronger. It stopped falling out—and started thriving.

Now that my hair is healthy, I don’t just use the Shimmer line—I use all Alywillow cleansers on it! Every one of our cleansers and moisturizers is wonderful for your skin and your scalp. I simply grab whatever is in the shower. Right now, that’s our Warrior and Wildwood bar cleansers—but they all work beautifully.

Although I have naturally dry hair, I don’t use a conditioner in the shower. Afterward, I generously spray Glimmer Hair Gloss onto my hair and gently comb out any tangles. It works like a leave-in conditioner—turning messy, frizzy strands into soft, smooth hair with beautiful shine. It also works for styling dry hair, and after a lifetime of battling knots, I must admit that Glimmer Hair Gloss feels like a small miracle.
